Holiday Party Week: Silver Bell Nails

Ok, so I have not wrapped a single present yet, unless you count the new trend I'm starting called Wrapping Via The Bag the Present Came In. My nails, however, are all dressed up for holiday parties. I wanted something that would work for just about everyone, that wasn't too Christmasy (those nails are next week on the blog), and that could be worn into NYE and winter. I present my Silver Bell Nails:

T O O L S
Base/top coat
Silver metallic polish
H glitter polish
silver glitter polish
(optional) chunky silver glitter polish

M E T H O D

Paint base coat and allow to dry. Paint one coat of silver.
This Wet N Wild polish was .99 cents!

To add holographic sparkle, add one to two coats of a white glitter polish and allow to dry.

Next, starting about halfway down the nail, paint a silver glitter polish up to the tip. Allow to dry.

To finish the nail, add a chunky silver glitter polish to the upper fourth of the nail,
or paint another coat of the glitter polish on the upper fourth.
Allow to dry and add a top clear coat if desired.

  • While I went super-sparkly and painted every.single.nail, I know this will work for most as an accent nail.
  • There are so many options with these nails! Use the colors that you like for the holidays.

Do you paint your nails for the holidays?
What colors/designs?

  1. These are so pretty! Also, I, too, have used your method of wrapping things in the bag they came in -- although I've been good this year and wrapped a lot of presents early (and in wrapping paper). It looks prettier under our tree. :)

  4. I feel you on the present wrapping. I have two under the tree thanks to buying them two months ago and for getting a tiny bit of free wrapping paper in the mail. All the other presents I have are either in transit or sitting at whatever store I'll end up buying them from -eek.

Also, silver nails are adorable. That's one of my favorites.
