Product Test Drive: KP Elements

How was your weekend? Mine was great--full of fun and relaxation. If you follow me on Twitter and Instagram, you got to see my pics of the mountains. And my pup Charlie, of course. Minus a gorgeous Saturday, the weather was mostly cold and rainy, leaving my skin itchy and dry. Speaking of skin, I've written several times before on here about having KP (Keratosis Pilaris, aka permanent red goose bumps) on my arms, and it is at its worst in the winter. I was sent KP Elements Exfoliating Skin Cream and used up the entire jar. Check out my review, below:

WHAT IS IT?

KP Elements is an all natural skin lotion specially formulated to eliminate the red, rough bumps on upper arms and thighs caused by keratosis pilaris (KP). Keratosis pilaris affects 50% of adults and 80% of adolescents. It's genetic and you can't be cured of it.

WHAT IS IN IT?

KP Elements contains a 10% formulation of two types of natural alpha-hydroxy acids – lactic acid and glycolic acid. These acids are natural products of milk and sugarcane, and dissolve the excess keratin that is blocking your pores and causing the bumps, rough texture, and irritation on your skin. Alpha-hydroxy acids exfoliate your skin and encourage the healthy and rapid turnover of skin cells – dead, hard cells and excess keratin are swept away and replaced by new cells that are smooth, soft and evenly colored. Additionally, there are Vitamins C and E, and essential oils, like avocado  flax seeds, borage seeds, chamomille, and rose hip.

HOW DO YOU USE IT?

I applied it to my skin at least twice a day, letting it soak in before/after putting on my clothes. I liked KP Elements because it wasn't greasy and it didn't take long to see results.

DID IT WORK?
Yes! I am always a fan of having smooth arms instead of rough, bumpy red ones. I noticed results within a couple of weeks. The jar lasted me about a month, and I used it twice a day. I would absolutely purchase this product.

HOW MUCH? WHERE DO I PURCHASE?

It is $35 for a jar or $60 for two and can be purchased here. KP Elements works — your KP will be drastically reduced after 30 days of use, guaranteed or your money back. That's definitely worth a try based on that alone!

  9. So, I totally did not know that the bumps on my arms actually have a name -- and that 50 percent of people have them, too! I may be ordering this stuff. I am so tired of having itchy red arms (and my husband has it pretty bad, too).

  10. This post made me look back at my KP some more. It's mostly gone from my arms and legs now but there's still some on my back. I hate how it's the place hardest to reach.

  12. i used kp elements a few years ago. absolutely hated it. it itched and made my skin burn to the point where i contemplated just washing it off and dealing with my kp. yes, it did make my skin softer, but for the 2 weeks that i muddled with the product, my kp never actually went away.
